Under the brand name Schönstädter Construction timber we are selling a product, that in order to earn the predicate name of solid structural timber, has to undergo detailed selection, precise processing and specialized treatment. No damage, dryness, dimensional stability and strength are the criteria which determine the quality of the KVH (solid structural timber) product.
KVH is created by the frictional connection of individually finger-jointed sections. In the finger-jointing and subsequent gluing we comply strictly according to predefined
standards.
Our specialized strength
We are specialized in producing KVH® by order list. That means that commissions will be produced by customer demands in different dimensions and lengths. That is an important factor for high flexibility, economy and planning dependability at a modern and ambitious timber construction.
KVH® with extended quality control
The production of finger-jointed solid timber will be realized according to DIN 1052:2008-12. Finger-jointed solid timber is sorted by fixedness, has a maximum wood moisture of 18 percent and is labeled with the compliance mark like the KVH®. Building authority rules for finger-jointed solid timber include no specifications to the cutting or the surface quality. Additionally the KVH® must achieve the requirements according to the "arrangement of KVH®" between the "Bund Deutscher Zimmermeister" and "Konstruktionsvollholz e.V.". Only the KVH® that will be produced according to the instructions of the "Konstruktionsvollholz e.V." may have the KVH® seal of quality.
