Modern technologies for precision, quality and economical use of raw materials

In nearly 100 years of Schmidt-History a whole lot has changed!
Today, hard physical labour is made easier or being replaced by modern day CNC and computer guided systems. Ongoing investments in all areas of the company ensure maximum operational flexibility and are maintaining the highest technical standards.

We are now able to handle all orders completely through computer controlled systems.
From the arrival of the logs to the various stages of wood processing all the way to the loading process.

Over a period of time four production sites have developed on the approximately 12 acre premises, they account for the complete power spectrum:

A sawmill with chipping technology for the manufacturing of sawmill products, a planning mill, a trimming machine for structural timber, a KVH unit (Solid structural timber unit) and various impregnation systems.

For technical wood drying, kilns with a drying capacity of 60,000 m3/year are available.
